"Delicious Death," A Culinary Mystery

Picture
"Delicious Death," my first food-themed whodunit, illustrates typical features of a culinary mystery.
  • It begins and ends with a dinner party.
  • The solution to the crime turns on answering a food question: Who knew what was in the appetizer, and when did they know it?
  • The cast includes a food snob, a glutton, a “cook” who nukes dinner, and a hostess whose platters resemble works of art. Their different attitudes toward food reveal their characters and foreshadow the mystery's resolution.
